CF wing & stickers

hi folks,

I'm planning on placing stickers on the painted part of the CF wing. My question is would putting the sticker on the painted side of the wing damage the paint job or should I just stick it on the glass?

First off, I ask the question: Why? Unless you are sponsored, why put on stickers? Secondly, to answer your question, yes, they stick on like the would on glass. Only if you ever want to take them off, be careful and don't just yank them off, then you might have a piant problem.

i mean i think its stupid to put any stickers on an evo.. but thats my opinion... but why would putting sticker **** up the paint? the carbon fiber surface has a nice layer of clearcoat from the factory... when u wanna take it off.. just peel and wipe down with any wax spray to remove any residues....

If you're going to install 'stickers'; I would suggest vinyl graphics. That's much safer than your ordinary sticker...

I'm putting the sticker cause I like it & it's unique. It's not a "go faster" sticker that adds 10BHPs or anything. Heck it has little to do with cars at all. Thanks for the suggest you might've changed my mind.

Um.....there aren't any stickers that add whp anyway . But hey, do what you want, just don't come crying to us when you get laughed at by people with cleaner tastes.

If you stick stickers on your paint, even if you get them off cleanly in the future, you may find that the paint not covered by stickers has faded and you'll see where the stickers used to be.

Just my preference, but I vote against the stickers too...

Anytime I see a car with stickers off track, I think "tacky." The only acceptable stickers are relatively small ones in the window corners that do not impede visibility. My .02.

evo8: placing the sticker on the rear window corners sounds like a good idea. the sticker I am planning to would be 2x2 inches in size.

A little heat helps taking them off, and some adhesive remover takes off any left over sticky on the painted surface.

I always use this procedure to remove dealership badges and such.

yep heat makes a huge difference. evoWALO, a sticker that small could go anywhere, but in the corner of the window would probably be the best place. good luck

Stickers/Vinyl

I don't know of any street legal cars that have stickers that I think looks good.

Only cars I see with stickers are riiced out Cavaliers and old Accords. Also alot of redneck 4x4 trucks proudly display their stickers too.

Neither of these styles is clean or desirable nowadays.

Here's one on a BBY Evo from the Raleigh meet two weeks ago. The Japanese markings are "three diamonds" for Mitsubishi. I thought it looked pretty nice, and I'm usually not in favor of any kind of graphics on a car.

I'm also Anti-Sticker/Vinyl, unless it's a legit sponsorship.

Stickers on the car is bad enough, but on the wing... please don't . Save it for the Civics and Cavaliers
