After having every car I owned vandalized or otherwise damaged, I've learned to do one thing:
Always put The Club in my car.
Not to deter theft, but I feel that two pieces of rebar with nice rubber grips called "The Club" is incredibly well named.
I've forked over about $2000 over 4-5 years taking care of what other people did to my property. To me, that's what it costs to go to the hospital ER (insurance deductible) four times.
