Headlight thoughts?

Hey, I was doing my friends headlights (painting them black and doing demon eyes) and since they were already open, I decided to try something different! What do you guys and gals think? This is just a test, nothing is sealed...and since my evo is currently getting built, it was nice enough to model them for us.

Thanks, yeah I agree. I'm not doing them. The car doesn't really have the lines for those kindof lights.

Yup this is very important, the CT9A is old enough now that you have to be conscious of staying period correct. If you count the VII then it's an almost 20 year old car.

Think of putting a blocky 1980s body kit on a 240z, or a swooping rounded early 00s kit on a first gen CRX. It just ain't right.

If you think you can bend the rules and pull it off then you better have some legitimate design and fabrication credentials. Most attempts to subvert this through instinct alone fail miserably. That retro Charger S14 Nissan thing was kinda cool for example, but it's a dangerous zone to be in as a designer.

Let's say you get these lights to align well, but what if you add more modern touches? The CT9A has nothing to be embarrassed about, it can stand on its own. There's something defeatist about making it pretend to be something that it's not.
