Just install a push start kit in my EVO !

Hi All,

Got this push start kit from local Auto parts store, it looks like the Honda S2000's. But I don't like the big buttom, so I went to Radio Shack and get a smaller switch !! Following is the step to do it!

1. the push start kit come with a relay with four color wires attach
to the relay.Red wire go to battery (12 V). Yellow wire go to (IGN,12V), Black wire go to one of terminal on the push start buttom. White wire go to starter line. the other terminal of the push start buttom need to go to ground(car chassis)
2. If you have turbo timer install on your EVO with the HKS or Greddy harness first it will make this a lot of easier. I just attach the red wire to red wire on the HKS harness(both are for battery 12V). then attach yellow wire to yellow wire on the HKS harness(both are for ign 12V).
3. Now inorder to find the starter wire, you need to take off the steering colum cover and find the HKS wire harnees and the OEM plug:

----- OEM plug--------HKS wire harness--------- steering colum

look at the OEM plug that orignally attach to steering colum,there is a thicker wire have black and yellow strip color, thats the starter wire, just attach the white wire(from the relay) to this Black/yellow thick wires, now you car start the car use both key or push start buttom. Or you can just cut the black/yellow wire and hook to the white wires from the relay and only start the car by push the start buttom:

4.
[RELAY] --(Red wire)----------->Battery 12V (key off)
[RELAY] --(Yellow wire)-------->IGN 12 (key on)
[RELAY] --(White wire)--------->Starter wire
[RELAY] --(Black wire) <------Push starter---->Ground(chassis)

looks like a nitrous switch.

I think the red start switch like the S2000 is cool. Much like the Enzo's.

Thanks for all reply ! yes you may like it or not, but its NOT cool to insult people like this kid:
What a bad little button that is. I was expecting at least a nice little S2K push starter, but instead there's some little red dot that is supposed to be an excuse for a starter. And what's with the homosexual CF stickers? To cheap for the real stuff?
Yes, I just spent more than $10K on mods, thats why I cant get the real CF panel for $400 !
How about you, lets see what kind of car do you drive ? Oh Its "None...not yet" May be you are just a kid doesn't even get a driver license yet
