My EVO 8 RR

So me and my wife picked up this car as a project. We are prior owners to an 08 X MR and I think we both have been missing having an EVO in the garage. Plan for this car is fun/track 400WHP.

First order of business was to switch out the oil pressure switch. We were throwing the oil light at low rpms usually at idle. The one I pulled looked like it was the original switch. New switch = no oil light

Headlights were foggy so I decided to try the meguiar's kit. However I do plan on blacking these out at some point. But all in all I was happy with the product for the price.

Oh and I ordered some stuff but waiting on paint. There is some minor damage that needs to be addressed before I install all these exterior pieces. Looks like someone tried to pry the passenger side door open.

And of course the calipers needed to be redone. I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out.

I will keep this updated as I do more things. Right now I am focused on the exterior and will eventually move to the engine. Plans are to do an FP green with supporting mods. Looking for a tuner near nashville as well if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks for looking.

Finally installed the CF air ducts as well as a new front lip. My driveway is a little sketchy so I went with a PU lip. Actually quite happy with the look and quality. Interior got a hard wired radar detector and relocated the radio to the bottom.

Did the CF Ducts take much grinding, sanding, adjusting to make them fit nicely?

Beautiful! I just did my headlights too - they look so much better after restoring. Just a tip for next time though - might be easier just to open the hood! I took my bumper off to make it even easier.

Where did you get the calipers done? Mine need it badly.

No modification they actually fit pretty good. However I did not use rivets that came with it. I used hex bolts and rubber washers. Brand was rexspeed.

I did the calipers myself used the DIY on this forum. Just ordered the high temp stickers from eBay everything else I got at the auto parts store.

Great stuff, very much enjoying seeing the work you do to the car. The CF air ducts look great. Got me thinking for my own evo...
