^ I agree. As someone who's painted my valve cover 3 times now. There's some pro's and cons.
I benefit to paint is you don't have to worry about drilling out baffles to get media out of the valve cover which will destroy your block in a blink of an eye. It's also much cheaper than PC. Be sure to tape off the oil cap lid and under the valve cover. You don't want paint or paint chips inside your valve cover.
The downside is that it's not nearly as durable so you have to be careful not to put tools and stuff on top of the VC while you're working in the garage.
I've thought about bringing it to a professional auto body shop and having them paint it as opposed to rattle can, but we'll see.

I've had my vc pc a color similar to that. It's a great color!
