Exterior Plastic Care

I recently purchased a black evo and love it. But.... the exterior needs some help. I think that this car has been on the dealers lot for awhile (only had 10 miles on it though) because the paint looks pretty bad as does the plastic.

I have read on here all of the different techniques for waxing the car and will probably pick some Meguiar's up. I did not find anything about how to care for the exterior plastic though. What is the best product to use. Mine really looks bad, almost like oxidized paint??? Thanks in advance for the help.

same thing you would use on the steel/aluminum parts. the paint is paint, the only difference with the plastic paint is a flex additive to prevent cracking..although i am starting to wonder if mitsu used krylon to paint our cars...

if you are talking about the plastic black trim, there is a product made by Mother's called Back To Black. It works very well for the black plastic trim on the outside of the car... I use it on mine and it makes it look brand new. Hope this helps

You just bought a brand new car and it is dull? To hell with that. You should be bringing the car back to the dealership and telling them that the paint isn't up to spec for a brand new car. They will detail it for you or repaint.
