Post New Carbon Fiber Gauge Pod

As the topic says I am working with one of the custom fabricators to make us this carbon fiber gauge pod. This guy who fabricated his from the Subaru inspired me so badly that I'm pulling all the strings trying to find somebody who will make one for all of us
My question to you guys is: Are you interested in having one of those things in your car or not. I want to create a pool in which I will find people who will definetely put one if its available, the ones that are considering but are not sure yet, and ones not interested at all. If you could stick by those settings I would appreciate because I don't want to create a list and update it with the names. I think pool for the beginning will do the job. If everything goes well and the project will conclude I'll create another post with the names of those who will buy them.

Whoever did this job, congratulations, and sorrry for stealing your picture. I hope you don't mind.

It needs to look OEM. As of now it looks like it belongs on a riced out Honda.

The edges of that pod look likes the edges of a really cheap plastic toys are packaged in, the guages aren't facing the driver, the wires are not concealed....this is not a very good product. Lots of things need to be changed, and pease, enough with CF, it's cool but not when it's overdone. If it really is CF, I would get it painted anyway to match the car color or interior color.

make it replace the little "holder" thing in front of the shifter (where the deck goes if you get the factory gauages). You'll also need to make it look like it's supposed to be there.

carbon fiber in the interior is sorta played out as well. is there another material or finish you could use?

it's pretty cool... BUT, i agree with ErnieT on the point that it needs to look OEM... maybe with a little work it would be something that I would get.

They sould try to make one that fits in to the pocket above the ash tray, but **** each guage up towards the driver. Need to be very nicely molded though. I'm going to have my friend who works as an install at Tweeter modify and fiberclass the OEM pocket to get 3 guages in there for me. Kinda sucks how there is no really good place to mpunt guages w/o relocating something else.

hmm it would look a little better if they were smoothed out a bit with the dash and maybe have the gauges slanted more towards the driver and not the rear passengers..just my thought..im lookin for a place to put my gauges and i kinda like how those are lookin

This one was done from the Subaru, and yes I agree with many of you. The Carbon Fiber is not a must but just a suggestion, gauges facing the driver would be a must.

Lets here some more so we can have a perfect gauge pod before it hits the production.

I like the idea of having it look OEM, facing the driver and with the option of fitting either 52mm or 60mm gauges.

finally!!

first off, it needs to face the driver

angle it to the left a little

second, i don't like the wires

check out some rear view mirrors that have lights and rain sensors on them... look at how the manufacturer desgned the plastic to hide the wires....

third, i like the CF!!!
fourth, gotta be a triple pod holder for 52mm!!!
