The story begins years ago. Dreaming of owning an Evo 8 or 9 before I was old enough to even drive. When I was finally ready to buy an evo I decided not to buy used since i was going to be driving it back and forth to work everyday. I wound up buying a brand new evo X. Loved the car, never had an issue with it. Had it for about 7 years. Over time I had my eye on the next dream car.. the GTR. An odd chain of events happened where i basically got to sell my Evo X to a family friend and not deal with the bull**** of selling used. It was super clean and never beat on around 27k miles. At the same time I had found a brand new leftover 2017 GTR for sale. It was meant to be. I sold the evo and got the GTR. Another dream come true. 2 years went by and I decided I missed driving a manual but didnt want to get rid of the GTR either. I started casually looking around for a clean evo 8 or 9, knowing they are becoming harder and harder to come by. Happened to get sent a bringatrailer link by a friend with a red 2003 evo 8 for sale that was owned by a 97 year old man whom had passed away. He bought it when he was 85 and loved it. His son was selling the car. Bone stock, never molested 17k miles. I watched it for an entire week waiting to place a bid.. I couldn't pass this up. Got into a bidding war at the end and placed my last bid. Wound up winning the car and got it shipped in an enclosed trailer. The car is almost done on visual mods and its already come a long way from the bone stock look. I am super happy with it so far. Looking to maybe do some power mods in the future to be around 4-450HP. I finally have the dream evo my 15 year old self wanted.
original Evo GTR was already in the garage.. last day with the evo before new owner picked it up GTR bone stock evo 8 bone stock evo 8 arrives bone stock evo 8 How she looks now!
