Uh, evojimbo, that's the same rear that's on the MR
WHTCT9A, that's an awesome rear and it;s good to hear you got it cheap too. I dunno, I like both, but after a closer inspection, the JDM bumper flows with the lines better and looks cooler with its "built in" lip.

The USDM rear on the VIII is actually the correct rear bumper to match the entire car. The Japanese VIII rear is actually just a carry-over from the VII. This is why the USDM VIII rear matches the curvy parts of the front bumper better than the JDM one does.

Personally, I think you should add the front bumper off a VII as well. Im sure many will say your trying to make your car something its not, but it will truly be unique and look much better, in my opinion. I have never been much of a fan of the VIII front end, but far be it from me to complain too much about it, Mitsu could have really been asses and never released the Evo here period. Just a thought. Either way I like the new bumper.

I'll second that. THe "JDM" bumper, is too short. The side skirts and front bumper hang lower. Doesn't match. It'll look good if everything was the same height.

Just my $.02

Did you have to remove the rear bumper beam in order to fit the JDM bumper?

btw, the car looks great.
