If you ever find a way to fit the bumper beam, let me know. I plan to do this in the future, so any info is appreciated. Thanks!

i was cool and backed into a really short pole, pushing my rear bumper so far in that even the license plate bent, then it popped back out as if nothing happened. you can see the tiny damage from the side view - its actually so hidden that i sometimes dont notice and forget about it.

that fat, long USDM bumper saved any damage to my trunk. but i guess just knowing its messed up, im interested in gettin the JDM (i know - if i do it again w/ the JDM, my trunk wont pop back out too well )

i too am interested in knowing how to fit the bumper beam into the JDM bumper. though i bet mine is probably bent

oh yeah - is that why the exhaust on the USDM looks like its a little short? because of the different bumper?

The exhaust looks a lot better now cuz it actually looks like it belongs there. I always thought that the usdm bumper made the exhaust kind of looks strange. Well once i figure out how to cut the bumper beam to fit the JDM bumper i will let everyone know.

I dunno, I think the USDM one is nicer and it actually lines up at the bottom. The JDM one doesn't, it's not as low...The MR taillights are tight though!!

Both the USDM and JDM front bumpers are the EXACT same. The JDM Evo VIII just doesn't have a front bumper support. The USDM is equipped with one after it is shipped to the US for safety inspections...

Once again, the JDM front bumper is different from the USDM, visually it is almost identical until you look further into the front 2 nose vents under the front grill. It goes in way deeper than the USDM creating a more tunnel like shape to direct air to the engine. The USDM has to have the bumper support (like the rear) therefore the vents are not as deep.

Here is a good example:

Hmm... I think I see what you mean. But it seems to me that tunnel isn't really doing anything particularly functional - maybe they can provide some air to the radiator if you remove the bumper I guess.
