I've seen a few alcantra covered dashes at socalevo meets also. They look really nice.
But I would worry about how well the passenger side airbag would deploy with an addtl layer of material covering it.
Anyone know of a good place to buy alcantra (ultrasuede)? I really need to re-cover my doorpanel armrests.
SC~

Best of luck guys - Looks killer.

Do you think that the dash and all the bits have to be removed in order to stick the alcantara on nicely? Id like to see it in my car as the plastics are horrible but I dont want them breaking stuff and making everything less sturdy by removing the dash... I already have enough squeaks and rattles as it is...

I've done a little bit of this kind of stuff back in the day ( not with leather / seude ) And you pretty much must disassemble all the pieces (if applicable) resurface etc and then put it all back together, if you want things to look good.
