C-west body kit question

i have been contemplating getting the c-west kit for my evo. The only problem i have is with the hood matching the front bumper. As you can see in the pictures on their web site their cf hood for the 8 looks like the oem hood, while the bumper does not come to a point like the oem one.

my question would it be possible to get the c west evo 7 hood, and evo 8 bumper and not have a problem with fitment.

or would it be better to get the evo 7 hood and bumper.

sorry i am nub when it comes to body kit fitment

i think that both the c west kit for the 7 and 8 are the same. so both the kits would fit on the evo 8. what im uncertain about is the bumber beam the usdm evo8 has, i am not sure if it will have to be removed for the kit to fit.

wow thanks someone replied i was thinking the same thing about the bumber beam. not sure i want to throw my warrenty out the window just yet. im 90% sure it will have to be removed. but yea im going to email the people at japanparts.com for more info.

i already assumed it will work but i wanted to get the right combination bumper and hood for the best fitment... what can i say im a perfectionist and i hate ****ty intallations, like the ones i see every day.

The VII and VIII fronts are different and Fitment of the VII requires some "Persuading" to fit

The difference is the VII style is flat look at hood comparisons and the VIII is pointy

I've had a c-west VIII bumper on my car and it fit better than any aftermarket part I've ever installed but you need to ditch the beam for either VII or VIII bumpers!

I generally agree. I think you can fit both the Evo 7 and Evo 8 Bumpers and hoods on the Evo8. You might want to ask the guys at www.jdmbodykits.com or Rotary Xecret 7 though. They are US C-West distributors so im sure they would most likely know for certain.

i just test fit my c-west bumper today and it fit perfect. Its not a low budget kit by any means. Goes out to paint tommarrow. I just cant seem to figure out where the 2 bolts on the intercooler inlet go. When the bumper beam is out, there is nothing behind there to screw two, but the instructions show they go there. Who knows. Vivid sold me the bumper WITHOUT having to buy the whole kit. I think i lost about 3 or 4 inches in car length and i KNOW for sure the car runs cooler and the A/c works better cause there is about 20-30% more air going through the massive hole IC hole in the front. Also the under hood scoop bolts right up to the cold air intake snorkel leading to the air box. Cool....... RRR
