god just kill me now. That hood will create drag, and you have absolutely no use for it since youre intercooler sits in the front of your car

true didn't really think about that. No need to act like an ***... but do you really think it creates any more drag than a sti....? Think your answer through before you snap out an answer.

not to mention if i had an sti. the first thing i would do it a FMIC kit. hood scoops remind me of the mustang cowl hoods and camaro scoops that just got so big you could not see over your hood.

now if you mean something like this http://gallery.evolutionm.net/showphoto.php?photo=1195

then its not that bad, but would it really help?

I think the opening on the Evo actually extracts air out. It's not there to take the air in like on the STi. That's why you also have the little reflectors under the opening that help the air escape linear and not chaotical.
I don't think a scoop would help you at all.

wasn't trying to be an ***, just adding a little humor into my boring day at the firm.

But to answer your question, it DEFINATELY creates more drag than an evo WITHOUT a scoop, but i never said it would create more drag than an Sti.

If you're really itching to do something to the hood of the car, id rather go with a cowl of sorts than a scoop, primarily beause the scoop creates drag while serving really no purpose at all.

Its funny you mention the grill and the way it directs the air, b/c so many people on here just take that grill piece out entirely. i dont get it

Even in terms of show, IMO it would look silly on the car. If anything, you should look into painting the air deflector or getting the silver Ralliart one...looks hot. Nice to see someone trying to be unique, but in this case it's too ironic with the STi and all .

If anything, at least route it to the intake and leave the side opened for hot air to still be able to escape. But all that would do is create a piece identical to the RMR piece. So why not just buy the RMR CF scoop.
