poly urethene or fiberglass

sup this is i think my first offical post here so i hope its a good one. my friend just bought a body kit for his ford focus. the kit is poly urethene. while i was at CNC (the shop that installed his kit here in vegas), the guy at the shop said poly urethene is (for the most part) a better choice for a kit. since its flexible and very strong (almost seems to be the same material the OEM bumper was just a whole lot thicker).

but to get to the point what is the best buy as a body kits for your car. figerglass is nice but dont seem fit for daily drivin (especially in vegas wit all our dirt roads and pot holes). poly urethene seems fit for daily but doesnt seem to give high look and finish that fiberglass does. not to mention it seems like the big player in the body kit world such as in "veilside" for example (not complete sure on this)--->only make fiberglass kits.
please correct me if im wrong. cuz i want my Evo to have a show quality look but handle daily drivin and hope some track time without have to replace the kits every other day. so any Evo owners give me your input. and vegas Evo owners i will get at ya soon.

Alot of the Japanese kits are primarily made of Fiberglass, which usually tends to be of higher, stronger quality than the standard american knock-off fiberglass kits you see on hondas, etc. Some companies like C-WEST, offer their body kits in PFRP which is extremely strong and flexable so you dont have to worry about it shattering when you curb somthing or take that speedbump a little to fast...Check out www.JDMBodyKits.com . They have a pretty good sellection of the higher quality Japanese Body Kits including the C-West Kits, which i hear are supposed to be the highest quality on the market for the Evo.

velocitydynamix,

do u think that a real japanese (JDM) kit is worth the buy compared to a poly kit. cuz i love the overall finish that a true japanese (JDM) body kit has. i just worried about it crackin, because i live in las vegas. las vegas has a lot of unpaved roads loaded with rocks and gravel. i have heard that the JDM body kits are very high quality in strength, but i'm still just a little worried about it bein fiberglass. i just want something that is durable and gives a unique exotic look for my car. i just dont want a kit that very durable but gives a cheap look. since that evo is a unique and somewhat a exotic car... i sure all evo owners only want the best for their cars. which JDM kits give. i can be wrong

velocitydynamix if you know if JDM fiberglass kits have strength close to that of a ploy kit. please let me know. thank you for the help
