Exclamation Bodyshop/work info and advice!!!!

I have a body kit that is made out of PFRP (Poly Fiber Reinforced Plastic) basically fiberglass with plastic properties for durability and a fiberglass rear wing. I'm looking to find a way to help prevent spider cracks and increase the durability of the kit and the wing. Someone said that I could probably get a shop to use a single-stage urethane to do that. My questions are:

Is that a good idea and does it work?

How much should it cost to do a Front Bumper, Side Skirts, Rear Bumper, and Wing?

What questions should I ask of the shop when I'm trying to find a good one to take my car to?

Thank you for all your help, but please only answer or comment if you work for a body shop or own one! Thanks again.

To increase durability you could slap more layers of fiberglass on the inside of the kit to increase rigidity. This may also reduce flexing at speeds which is what causes the spider cracks in the first place.

I have not heard of spraying urethane on a bumper to make it stronger or anything so I can't help you there.

that stuff is pretty ridgid as is... i was cutting up my buddy's WRX lip kit the other day and it was about twice as thick as the stock bumper and a lot less flexible. you may not need anything else.

Not sure about the "single-stage urethane" but i think you should ask the shop if they have exp. with body kits, and what they recommend. Don't be afraid to ask questions. like how they prep it and what kind of primer they use, how many coats
and so on. If they dont answer your questions or make you fell stupid for asking take your car somewhere els. Dont expect to pay less than 500 for quality work.
Good prep work and good automotive primer should make all the difference. In my opinion.
