Autometer Single Steering Column Pod

Anyone find any issues with rubbing not because of the push pins, but just the fact that the pod will incrase the thickness of the steering column, and so rubs no matter what....Any suggestions how this could be fixe? I don't really know if I want sand it down since I don't have the proper tools for such a job...

It requires drilling your factory steering column cover, since the pod attaches to the steering column in the same way as the old school A-Pillar pods, using the push pin type holders. I should have done more research, I was under the impression the Autometer pod was a replacement for the upper plastic... live and learn. I'm not going to get into the wiring and boost source connection of the gauge.
Am I happy with it? Yes, the gauge placement is much better than the all too familiar A-Pillar placement. The only thing the gauge blocks is the speedo >140MPH. I don't venture there too often (read: at all) so I don't miss it. The Tach is completely unobstructed. I am 6'0" tall, so this is from my point of view. I would imagine the shorter you are, the more of the speedo gets blocked.
The only thing I am unhappy about is the clearance between the pod and the steering wheel. The last pic shows this, it is a very tight fit. When I first took the car out for a ride, I could hear the plastic pieces rubbing (very annoying) but after one night of driving, the rubbing is gone. I would also blame the noise on my placement of the push pins, as they are the highest point on the front of the pod. These pins can be installed anywhere, I put the two front ones on the front of the pod between the column and the steering wheel in an effort to hide them. Turns out it came around to bite me in the a$$. No biggy, it's quiet now, but at first I was upset with my mistake.
Well, I'll shuttup now and let the pictures speak for themselves, if you have any questions just ask or PM me.
