i thought about that too, and maybe i'll try it, but I think lighting up the intercooler would be a lot more noticable, and i dont wont it to be too flashy.

subtlety is they key here... at 1st i thought it would look bad also, but if you can make it so you really cant notice it unless you're right next to the car and its pretty dark out, it might not look too bad. I think i'll give it a try, worst case scenario i lose a couple hours of my time, and hey, i enjoy stupid little projects like this...

btw, i started considering it when i saw a sportbike with the fairing holes covered in mesh and backlit very dimly with blue led's... iit looked nice.. as long as you can get it subtle enough so you have to look twice to tell if its glowing or it's just a colored reflection, i think it might look ok... if I do get around to trying it, i'll report my impressions here.
