I especially love how on the windshield it says "Super Charge!"

I wonder if they mean that they charge super high prices?

By the way I just called "Eddie". Anyone else have a cell phone that has nationwide long distance give him a call. Some dealership. He sounds spanish or something. Asked for him got him on the phone. Said hey eddie checked out your Evo post. He was like yeah. I was like so is this thing Turbo'd or supercharged. He was like it is supercharged. I was like out of factory this comes turbo'd. Why supercharge the 2.0. He said it is, and has 350 hp and an ecu upgrade. I was like dude look at your intake pipe, you have it going into a TURBO and stock manifold. All the is different is an HKS INTAKE. He was like oh whoops does it say supercharged? said yes and I do not believe HKS even makes a supercharger, and def. not for the evo. He was like oh just an upgraded computer. Didn't say the brand but dude is trying to F someone over.

i believe his dealership is a used car dealership and this car was probably a repo, im sure he got the car through some sort of auction, do some investigative work and just look at the pictures, esp with some evidence that he doesnt sound like a mitsubishi dealership....

 

they do make superchargers NOW. they just released their new supercharger kit for z33 A.K.A. 350z

 

that e-brake is vertical... i couldn't pull it that far if i wanted....

I wouldnt be suprise that it is a repo. What kind of moron leaves there tv head unit in the car when giving it to the dealership!

 

Who in their right mind would bid on this car??? My god, there are 9 bids already....... I might just have to post up that I have a supercharged lawnmower for sale on Ebay. Looks like anything supercharged is the way to go...

Supercharged lawn mowers are nothing new though...they actually make kits for them that make go in excess of 80 MPH! No **** whatsoever. It's more likely to be a turbo though, as I have never seen a blower on one yet.

 

a turbocharger is a super charger, so technically he is not in the wrong.

 

a turbocharger is NOT a supercharger... you have an evo man learn your turbo stuff. They both share some of the same attributes (both have a turbine and inlet housing) but SC is driven by a belt and a TC is driven by exhaust gases which spin the compressor wheel.

 

What is turbocharger and supercharger?

Turbocharger: It compresses the air flowing in to the engine. The advantage of compressing the air is that it lets the engine squeeze more air into a cylinder, and more air means that more fuel can be added. Therefore, you get more power from each explosion in each cylinder. A turbocharged engine produces more power overall than the same engine without the charging.

Supercharger: A belt that connects directly to the engine. It gets its power the same way that the water pump or alternator does.

 

dude... a supercharger is anything that forces air into the engine. so by definition a turbocharger is a supercharger.

what do you think the super charger does? it compresses air. the only difference is yes, the way they are powered, a turbo is called what it is called because it uses an exhaust driven turbine to power the compressor turbine. the cold side of a turbo looks very much like a supercharger.
