Billet Parts Suggestions?

Hi all;
One of my friends has some time on the CNC machine lately and he has time for some side projects. So he asked me if people are interested in billet parts for our car and of course I know there is demand out there,.......I just want to hear some suggestions of what possible parts are people looking for and how the demand is. As of now, he's working on making a full billet dead pedal replacement (not just a plate to stick on but a full replacement of the dead pedal mold) and also battery holder is an option. It's quite ez to put on Evolution logos on there as well and since my car is in the shop.....it's the perfect time to experiment. So let's hear some suggestions =)

P.S. Also if there is a good demand for the dead pedal or battery holder, let me know.....he makes really nice stuff and have been machining for the past 6 years doing government aerospace projects and car parts (sleeving blocks, o-ringing etc) so he's not new. =P

*********Pics up on page 2**********

I would love a nive set of billet floor mats, not that diamond plate ricer crap. but nive billet mats factory size, maybe a bit bigger for the rear. I have a couple of designs in mind nice and clean. If he would do it I'd pay. very interested. A battery holder would be cool too.

PM me if dude is interested in seeing my drawings.

Yeah, post ur designs, that wouldn't be such a bad idea. We're not doing this to make real $$ obviously, just somethin on the side that we can have fun with while helping out people who are interested in some custom work for their cars. So don't worry 818 racing. =)

No worry at all. I have sold thousands of dollars in parts and havent made hardly anything. CNC parts require huge runs of product to lower prices. Plus the cost of advertising, packaging etc... and there isnt much left over.

I ll make sure to send an e-mail to ralliart or any other manufacturers and let them know we dont want any more "free advertising" on their parts.

Ou radiator shield has no logo.

The point was most appearance products have a logo. This is how you build a reputation in the industry. 90% of our products are sold through new car dealers as pre-installed items so the logo works out well.

When you are as big as HKS and Injen you can start to make parts with no identification. I am not that big so we cannot do that.

I know if I had a company, I would like my logo on the product.

818, I have your billet parts on my car for a while now. They look great and polish well with Mothers billet polish.

One problem. I took off the radiator cap to check the level and I could not put it back on. I had to remove the billet cover and then re-install it once I put the cap back on. It does not push down far enough with the billet cover on it to turn and lock it into place.

Yeah...818 racing is correct for the most part, but I don't think I'll be puttin on any logos except maybe evolution or other generic things like lancer since we're not making a business from it heh. CNC stuff is a bit expensive and require a decent run of stuff for it to be worth it....all I can say is we're not gonna be really making packages heh.

We have never had a problem or complaint on that subject. Is it a stck cap? Mine fits great. If you send me pics so I can see I would appreciate it. If I need to I will send you a replacement cap to try. Send me an e-mail at brian@818racing.com

Thanks for the good words on our products too
