Where did you get the 2000 grit?? The highest grit I can find around here is 1200

Good Lord!!! I would have done that to me car in a second if I didn't sell it. I hope the new owner see this and gets to sanding. That looks BETTER that the MR spoilers. I can't believe this is the first we are hearing about this.

Nah, not yet. I sort of took a detour from my original plan. As someone else previously pointed out, due to the fiberglass patch work on damaged side I decided to paint it black. I could not find carbon fiber patch only fiber glass and visually it did'nt flow.

Now I'm planning on MR edition look with black wing. will post that soon.

Sanding is not too bad if you use a sander but gotta be careful around the edges to inner blade pads.

Dude, you gonna have to resort to page 1 of this thread. Cuz that's all i got, as stated above I'm going for the JDM black spoiler look due to damage showing thru CF side.

And does eveyone in the Bay area drive a EVO...

has anyone takin it to body shop instead of doing it themselves?

I love the cf wing look but I have never sanded a wing or painted clear coated anything in my life....I would kick my self if i f'up my new wing

How hard is this can this be done in a day?

hmmm, there another thread on stripped wing with bunch of pics and detail.

and yeah, it's gonna take you more than a day - count on couple of weekends to sand and clear coat yourself. It's not hard but time consuming, I think it'll be worth it thoug...gl guys

can a body shop get it done in a day though? if I didn't do it my self

Also, I heard that you need to spray Uv protection otherwise your wing will yellow or something, do body shops do that too?
