ImSoEvo Sep 6, 2006 04:06 AM

heck yeah.. gb already

速度王 Sep 6, 2006 05:26 AM

guys, the problem is, in Mitsubishi Japan, if u want to purchase a JDM key, u must have your JDM vehicle VIN number proof. thats why you couldnt find it from any vender in US. I got my one because one of my friend he is a sales in Mitsubishi Japan. for 1 is quite easy, for 10 or 20...I'm not sure...I'll contact him see what he can do, if possible, I'll organize a GB. I let you know within 2~3days. {thumbup}

no,you're wrong. ,thats the old one which is almost 6years ago from Evo7. that one is so ugly, no one wants it in Japan. and won't work on Evo8&9. thats why the price is getting so cheap. what I have is the latest one, which is comes from JDM Evo9. I still have the old one from my 7. also it doesnt have LED lights& chrome Mitsubishi logo. have a look the pics. that key is just looks too cheap. BTW, I'm not trying to sell it and making money from this. I was just sharing with people what ive got. Im tring to organize the GB is because some people here ask me to get it, and I just trying to help them. also Im still not sure can get it more from Japan or not. so if u dun like it, thats fine. only I need to know is "I like it". and thats my key, im not gonna sell it. if you like, you can buy the 2001model key for this damn "CHEAP" price from Japanparts.com. this GB is cancelled. wont get anymore. and you guys can save your money to get the $78 one.nice. and never can work on your car since its only work on "Lancer 00/12-02/11 model"

It might have just been something you overlooked. If you can't stand criticism, posting is the wrong idea. There might possibly be some companies that sell them.

Alexander Sep 6, 2006 07:48 AM

I'm in for a GB as well, make that two!

Keep us posted!

Actually there is a whole group over there who buy all the USDM parts for their cars. It became so prevailing over there that Toyota decided to start selling Lexus cars in their home market.

Everyone wants what they don't get.

Noogles Sep 6, 2006 11:04 AM

I'll take one if a GB starts up

xepyt Sep 6, 2006 01:09 PM

My USDM key does not look like your USDM key,

so if i give my dad my VIN# he can pick me one up in Japan on his next trip? or do you have to order it through the manufacturer?

I think he meant a Japanese VIN

Nice key though

I have an alarm so who cares. This is one JDM waste of money~

SRT-TO-EVO Sep 7, 2006 02:41 PM

I'd be interested. The USDM key fob is uglyyyyy.

300evoIV Sep 7, 2006 03:14 PM

well i have a good question, i have a IX RS with power windows and door locks from another evo. How would it work for me??? or will it even work????

yeah. i took all the stuff i needed from another evo and put it in my RS

速度王 Sep 7, 2006 04:45 PM

so... do you have remote? if you have , then Mitsu Dealer/work shop they can reprogram it.

RRRS Sep 7, 2006 05:00 PM

i would swap in all the power locks from a gsr too, if only i can get my hands on this key. squeeze me into the GB if it happens.

really? that doesn't make much sence...so long as its a mitsu car i don't see why they wouldn't give it to you

MBaran Sep 7, 2006 05:11 PM

I think we are all really interested in it. Whats the appx unit cost?

And are we sure that it can be keyed for immobilizer for USDM cars?

RRRS Sep 7, 2006 05:27 PM

i'm guessing dealers in japan are like dealers here, without the vin# they can't seem to find sh!t

evo8426 Sep 7, 2006 05:50 PM

so how would we be able to get the key since we have usdm evo's with usdm vin's??

man im down for a key! that thing is awesome! GB!!!

because your US-Spec Evo VIN# is not recorded in their Japanese computer, so if you ask them, I believe they will say "Mitsubishi US can help you". :)
