Question Darn rotors, help?

Ok this is starting to get annoying, about a few months ago my steering wheel started shaking when I would apply the brakes at higher speeds, say like 70mph and above. NOTE: I do autocross. Of course I'm pissed and I take it to my dealership to get it checked out. They are like hey they need to be resurfaced, so they did it for free under warranty, bless their hearts haha.

It just recently started doing this again, I find this to be extremely annoying. Is there any way to prevent this, would getting different rotors, say, slotted brembos help in the future? Is this because of autocross, cuz I thought these rotors could handle 40-60 seconds of driving!

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mine do the same thing, and I don't autocross - I think it's just a fact with the stock rotors. I don't know if the replacement Brembo's are going to be any better, perhaps slotting will help...probably not. What about RacingBrake or Stasis (prrrriiiccceeey) rotors?

I think you have the same problem that is discribed in the following thread:

I have Ferodo 2500's, and they do seem to be better about the transfer issue as Chrono suggests...

the stasis rotors are great! and they are only pricey the first time. once you own the
the centerhats the replacement rotors are cheaper than stock. this might not be a big
deal for the street but if you track your car you will definately be replacing them more
than once over the life of the car.

I was having the same problems with the stock brakes. I purchased Racing brake rotors and ferodo DS 2500 pads and I still have steering wheel shudder. Very frustrated!!

You guys are getting that weird shakin' with new stuff? Mine went away once the dealership did what they did (resurfacing and who knows what else). I didn't think that would happen with aftermarket stuff.

Anyways guys, I'm gonna cook the brakes and I'll report back tommorow on how it went. Just gotta find a spot to do this at...
