Need Rotor and Pad advice

I've searched the archives and find differing opinions on this.

My Evo has 12K miles on it. A while back, my steering wheel started with the vibrations. My dealer recommended resurfacing the rotors. The problem came back even worse in a few weeks. Now they're saying I need new pads and rotors which (of course) aren't covered by warranty.

I figure it's best to get aftermarket rotors and pads at this point. Any suggestions. I'll probably do a couple of track days and maybe some autocross days next year, but mostly it's a daily driver. I just want something I don't have to worry about and won't have the same problem again.

So, what does eveyone recommend? Cross-drilled or slottted?
Also, do I really need to do the rears too?

Evo Brake Pads and Rotors

If you are not doing track events then why not get the rotors skimmed and save some $, not turned, as oftentimes there is a build up of pad material on the rotors that does not wear off as you drive. Either go with new stock pads and expect it again or try one of the after market brands.
