Help with my Tires!!!

My 03 Evo has only 5k miles on it and both the rear tires looks like this.... What the heck... I only drive around town.. Does anyone know how it got like this?? I have ran them with 38psi. I have Tein springs (coil overs). Could the rear end be out of line???

I baby the crap out of my Evo, I Honestly don't understand what caused them to wear out..

Please give me any help you can...

Thanks a million!

yeah that is a nasty alignment issue, i have 8000 miles on my evo, and i got it lowered, but at 4 miles i rotated my tires, and they still dont look like that, the only thing is my tires are already giving out, my front tires are starting to lose air, anybody know where i can get a good set of street tires for a good price.

you should *always* get an alignment if you do any suspension work.

my guess is either your alignment is out, or you have too much negative camber in the rear. Take it to a repuatble shop and throw it on an alignment rack and find out. Once you do, let us all know what the deal was.

i would be willing to bet you have near 2.0? of negative camber on that puppy. i bet it handles like nothing else. get an alignment, that will take care of everything.

everytime you do anything with suspension, you should get an alignment!

Hey all,

Thanks so much for the quick response all. I really appreciate it. I called around and found a reputable shop here in town that is going to help me out. They said it was the same thing you all are saying. It just sucks that now I have to get 2 new tires.... I would much rather be spending that on some upgrades...

Thank you all !

James

Wrong. Too much negative camber or a little neg camber with a little toe out. If you lowered the car and did not get it aligned then you might have too much negative camber. Replace the tires, get it aligned and consider this a cheap lesson.

almost everyone is right ,ideally if you do springs you want to break them in about 500 miles till they sprung fully then get alignment done, doing it before will not be correct because the spring tension isnt fully expanded/
