So I am driving around today after installing my friends fuel pump and everyone that is passing me is giving me the weirdest looks. I continue driving and notice a strange sound coming from my driver front tire. The brakes were sqealing like I was beating a couple of kittens under the hood. I slammed on the brakes really hard to see what would happen.....nothing? Anyway as I drive around the sound get worse and worse. Well in Utah, they gravel the hell out of the roads. I pulled the car into the garage and then pulled it back out and heard a small dump truck unload a ton of gravel from my brakes. All is good now and the kittens squealing under the hood are now quiet.

 

so.... there was gravel in your brakes...... what?

 

Yeah, our brakes are funny. When there is gravel in them, it sounds like you need new brakes. When you need new brakes, it sounds like there is gravel in them!

 

thats crazy i don't really know what to say

 

I was checking my pads last weekend and pulled out 2 pebbles stuck in the calipers.

 

gravel in the breaks sucks
