Spewing gravel trucks

hmm, I seem to have an active despisement for those vehicles. Coming up highway 167 in kent, at a leisurely pase of 60mph, I start to get the sound of hard rain or small hail coming down on me. I look around not seeing much activity in the sky until I point my eyes foward to a state dump truck on the right lane of the highway. I get this WTF feeling in my brain and deside to drive as left as possible from the vehicle. Glancing in my rearview mirror, I am astonished to see cars diving left and right trying to avoid these pellets of terror. It get worse as it gets better, and I finally pass the truck up. I ponder and wonder why a truck is spewing gravel on the highway at 60mph, at 2:30 in the afternoon, and with the temperature at a somewhat moderate 50F.

So today I finally have a chance to examine and clean my car. I come to the front of the evo and notice an abundance of rock chips on the hood, bumper, and black mesh grilling which is now of a raw metal color. What a drag that a 2005 evo with 8,000 miles now looks like a 2005 evo with 80,000 miles that has been ran through the dakar ralley. I mean, I know lancer evo paint sucks, but this is borderline rediculous. One thing I do not understand is what the **** is a gravel truck spewing sand and gravel on a freeway at 60mph during afternoon traffic? Who monitors these retards?

Well, anyways, I suppose the evo is due for a full paint restore in several years.

Happens all the time, was really bad in 2003 Winter/snow. Mine is the same way

ClearBra helps a lot. I would highly recomend it for anyone with new evo (before you got it chipped).

If this truck was hauling gravel then the load is supposed to be covered. I believe its the law.
