I bought the Kumho MX in stock size and they don't really compare to the Advans. Tire wear was greatly reduced, but so was lateral grip and sidewall stiffness.

No tire can compare with the AO46. You'll just be dissapointed with a different tire.

Just get another set . I hear their under $ 200 now.

The Falken Azenis Sport RT-615's are coming out next year. They don't have 235/45/17 but they have 255/40/17. I put up a thread about them here, just do a search on RT-615.

RA-1 have a 60 treadwear rating. They will last longer than the 160 treadwear rating Advans?

well for me the bf goodrich g force kd, size 245/40/17 is one of the best replacements for the stock yokos, it has a very aggresive tread desighn, very stiff
sidwalls, and the wear, well i had 10,000 miles on the yokos and they were gone.
i now have 14,000 miles on the g force kd and still alot of tread left. it rides just alittle harsher but that is because i went down in profile to have alittle wider tire.
handling has not changed with this tire.

They definetly dont last longer than the stock tires. RA-1's only last like 5k miles.

oh and the yoko avs es100's were rated better in every category by a lot actually by tirerack and they are only 25 bucks more (yes i realize that some people cant afford the extra 100 for the set) but it seems like this would be the best deal if ur looking to save a lot of money and tread life on the advans
