Accident! Need Help!
okay.. good news and reaaaaally bad news:
good news is that my car will be perfect again on thursday. no frame-related or permanent damage whatsoever.
the reeeaaaally bad news is that i bent the control arm assembly and need a new wheel bearing, etc.. - i'm down about $1G
not including the wheel which i hope i can find here on the forums soon..

A Semi truck cut me off and I did a Dukes of Hazzard against the concreit retainning wall one night.
Similar symptoms, osccilating noise while at high speeds, and I had to crank my tie rod to straighten my steering wheel. But my front wheel took the grunt of the blow to the wall.
It's going to the shop today, as soon as my ride comes to bring me back home.
And I think that I have two bad struts now, I hear popping noises whenever I hit bumps now
. But it will be fixed
Good luck to you all.

What I believe they mean by measuring the subframe is measuring symetry along the axis of the car. Any bend in the frame can compromise the integrity of the suspension.

If your wheel was pushed back, then you have too much neg caster on the R side. This is why your car pulls hard to the right. Imagine viewing the vehicle from an arial view.....the RF wheel is behind the LF which will naturally pull the car to the Right. You should get that RH LCA (lower control arm) replaced, most likely it is bent, look for any buckling around all suspension pick ups, also, check your tie-rods and rack to make sure nothing shifted or bent there as well. Good luck....that sucks...
^ Thanks for the insight....ive never been one to deal with suspension as much as engine dynamics.....so caster is a unit which describes lengths aways from the center of the car?
I guess a lesson in terminologies is in order

Ben
Well....good news. I took my car to another shop. They determined that the LCA and bearing will be replaced
along with a couple of other things. It took them only an hour to diagnose and come up with a plan of action.
Apparently their is a big demand on lower control arms and mine is being made today (from Mitsu) lol It wont be here untill 18 Sept. I guess im forced to stay way under the speed limit till then lol

When the shop called, Mitsu's response was that there was a run of the LCA's due to assembly demand.
