MR Springs??

MR has been on the market for a while now...
I know there are some who already tried different spings on MR??
I'm wondering if regular lowering spings for GSR will fit MR bilstein??
For example, will tein H-tech sprins fit MR??
Just curious....

hey, starting to look into this myself, so here's a bump.

after spending 35k on the car, i'm tempted to go ahead though and just get the whole coilover kit and not worry with replacing just the springs.

Just out of curiousity, what are you guys doing in your MRs that you find the stock suspension lacking? Also what exactly are you hoping to improve upon?

I have Tanabe GF210's on my Bilstein shocks. Any thoughts on this setup?

The springs from the MR/GSR/RS are all interchangable. Any aftermarket lowering spring designed for the EVO will work on your MR.

That being said, we installed Espelir GT springs on our shop MR for a couple of reasons:

1) We've had excellent results using these springs on Subaru's.
2) Aggresive spring rates coupled with the excellent damping of the MR shocks results in a sharper handling vehicle.
3) The lowering is perfect - nice and even gap front and rear.
4) The ride is great - similar to an EVO GSR.

I'll post pics of the car and install in the morning.

Regards,

I still haven't had a chance to take good pics, but I figured I couldn't keep you all hanging for much longer

It certainly isn't dumping anything, but that's hardly the point.

The performance of the suspension is increased dramatically in the following areas:

Turn in is significantly sharper
Improved control on smoother surfaces
Much better transition response (even without swaybar)

I'm extremely pleased with them. I figured I give it a try before throwing on my normal setup (ran JICs for years on the WRX). I wanted to see how the MR shocks performed with a nice spring rate.

... now I'm not so sure I'll be adding the JICs.
