Yes, that is what they are designed for.

Damn, that is expensive! Is there a cheaper option if you go w/ coilovers to get it cornerbalanced?

Go to a shop and rent their scales (used to be $50/hour) for a couple of hours. Don't forget to have someone sit in the driver's seat (of approximately your weight or use ballast).

Make friends with a local saturday night racer and see if he will let you use his scales. It's also very important you set them on as level a ground as you can find.

This is crucial. If you don't do it on perfectly flat ground cornerbalancing is pointless.

Those were the scales we used for setting up my car.

After you raise the car and adjust the suspension, roll it back and forth gently on the scales a few times to make sure it settles before you take a reading. The presure from not having the tires in their "normal" road position (after being lifted) will change the readings some.

As others have mentioned, be sure to take your time and get the scales completely level; that set-up will also affect your readings. The scales should come with adjustable feet and a piviting laser pointer with set-up guages to help ensure everything is level.
