hey guys just orderd some new pads cause my light has been poping on and fluid is low and they are really small them selves.... well anyways i got a pdf service manual about 2 weeks ago and its for the 2003 and i found this in thier and i know thier has been some debate but this should clear it up..

thier are pics of it and everything so thats cool that thier is a sqeeker

NOTE: The brake pads have indicators that contact the brake disc when the brake pad thickness becomes 2 mm (0.08 inch), and emit a squealing sound to warn the driver.

ps.. i have the whole service manual and its AWSOME i wouldnt have a problem with sharing

lol well for the last week i have been loking into if my pads are going or not and finding lots of people wondering if they had some sort of sensor saying they were low like it says thier is a squeeler on the pad that will touch b4 its 2 low to warn u..... but i also wanted to make sure people saw that i had the Service manual on cd and can share

My pads never squeeled, they just grinded. As soon as the sensors on the pads start to touch they fall off, or at least that's what's happened to me every time I put on the stockers. Now I have Ferodo pads which don't have sensors, but at least I KNOW to pay more attention instead of assuming I'll hear the sensor squeel.

 

Yeah mine are just starting to get near the squeal.

 

yeah i really dont think u should count on the sqeeuler i just know people were saying they didnt know if it was their or not..... i went with the hawk pads so we will c how those go.... i dont know how i can send the manual due to its size etc and its on cd possibly i could send u it but u would have to do shipping.
