True or Flase?

Tein S' Tech's will completely ruin my car. Dealer told me that if i put them on i will ruin the AWD system. I personally think he knows nothing about aftermarket modifications and is saying this for reasons unknown but i'd like to know whats really up. I already bought them and just got the car about two days ago so any help would be much appreciated.

Getting springs installed will not ruin your AWD system. It would not improve handling just make your car lower. Also, don't forget to get your car aligned after you install springs. There have been some horror stories after people installing springs.

If I was in your situation I would just save up until I could buy a great set of coil-overs.

The new springs will lower your roll center and change camber angle. If you haven't lowered much you may not need camber plates to allow the necessary corrections. Any experienced shop will be able to take care of you. The suspension's transient response should be sharper.

They dont know what they are talking about.

Lowering a car changes your center of gravity, roll center and alignment (they are all linked). Make sure the spring does not lower the car too much. Center of gravity is lowered which is beneficial, but if the car is lowered too much, the actual roll center will raise because of the suspension's arm design. alignment can usually be fixed by a competent alignment shop

As far as Tein S-techs go. Yuck. Ride crappy, and the fact that they only have a one year warranty makes me really question their quality.

False. As long as you have it aligned after install. make sure it's the Evo specs. Some shops use the regular Lancer specs for alignment.

I understood that if just lowering springs are done the car losses alot of valving that the engineers spent alot of time and money on designing the struts and it would be of little bennifit if not harmful to the stock struts.

of course the dealer is going to say that (or something else ludicrous regarding mods)!
anything to have add validity in their reason for voiding your warranty.
