I have done plenty of searches and I didn't really find anything specific enough to help me get it out. It has definitely been a pain up to this point and I am just looking for any suggestions to make it easier. So far I have everything disconnected on the sway bar and I have taken off the center support and loosened the bolts on the brace where it attaches the frame and also where the control arms attach. I noticed the cross brace is also attached to the transmission via a bracket. I was wondering if I should loosen those bolts. (If you are laying under the car) Everytime I try to get the left side of the sway bar out I can't clear the lines. If anyone has a step by step or any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it because the instructions are in japanese(thank you cusco). Thank you

i just did mu cusco sway bar , and all i can say its a hard job . you have too lower the front cross member down a good 1" or more too silde the bar from the back . down pipe has too be out too ,get a factory service manual that will help .
I took off the downpipe and cat and everything seems to be loose but it didnt drop down that far. Did you loosen the two bolts on the transmission that are attached to the crossmember via a bracket?

nope the 17mm on the crossmember there are 4 of them but doint take them all the way out just let the crossmember sit on them ,Good luck
Alright I finally got the stock sway bar off and what a pain in the a$$!! Now I can not get the cusco one into place. I have up on jack stands and it seems like the only way I could get the sway bar on there would be on a lift. I tried putting the right side in first, no go, then the left side no go. I have both shocks off on each side and I don't know what else I can do. Please help.... I got this far I just want to finish it. Thanks
After doing it(and still not done yet) I don't think it is worth the slight increase in stiffness that you get from the new bar. Stick with the rear sway bar and call the quits. Just my 2 cents but I am really frustrated at this point because I want to try to get my car ready for the spring and this is just putting me behind.

Honestly, since the install is so difficult, I think the extra front roll stiffness could be tuned easier with some stiffer springs....
On the other hand, if the bar is adjustable, you will see smaller changes vs changing springs in 50lb increments.
Anyhow...good luck littlegif

I have the tein flex coilovers on there now so the springs are definitely stiffer and shorter. At this point I am ready to give up. Can anyone translate japanese? Does anyone have an english version of the directions for the installation or know where I could get them?
