For those of you with a 255 tire....please read

I have a set of volks size 18x8.5. Can any of you guys tell me if i can fit a 255 tire on this size rim....and more importantly for anyone who has lowered the car....will a 255 on an 18 with a slight drop rub in the fenders.....

any info is greatly appreciated

Not that this will help you much, but I have 255/40's on 17X9 (+27 offset) wheels and get slight rubbing in the rear, but nothing too horrible.

oh yeah the rims are 18x8.5 with a 30mm offset

I have 255/40/17 on Advan RCII's 17x9 35mm. No rubbing. Lowered with Tanabe GF210. Im sure you would be ok with a 255/35/18. It would be close though with the 30mm you have.

it really depends on what the offset of the wheel is, and what your suspension settings are

With a 255/35/18 I have been told you can, but with a 40 I'm not sure. I have the same size wheels and I want 255's but will end up with 245.

here 18x9.0 et29 255/35/18 no rubbing at all.

crazy4cars: can u post a side shot of ur car? i wanna see how far the tires come upto the fender. wanna see if its flush or not.

Tires are flush and I wrote above the offset, 18x9.0 ET29
