Now that this is back from the dead. . . I had mine replaced at the stealership in Jacksonville, NC in early 2008. I didn't buy the car from them, nor had I ever dealt with them at all before I drove up and nicely asked them if the little bubbles in the clearcoat were normal or if I could get them fixed. Mine were far from pink or major pealing. Within 10 min of looking at it, they ordered four new clalipers and a rear wing. (that only had a penny sized fade spot in it) I don't think the service reps knew an Evo from a Minivan. They snapped a few pictures of everything and took down my number to call me when the parts came in. If memory serves, it was like 3-4 days later when I took it in and had everything replaced free of any cost to me. I still have the paper I had to sign for them to do the work and it was somewhere like $4.5k for the calipers and 1.5k for the wing. I was told it was covered under the 7yr paint warranty. . . lucky me.

That's funny. Mine has 68k miles on it. I was told mine was out of warranty. I might go back and try the paint 7 year coverage. But I think the 7 year is only for drivetrain. /shrug

Has anyone recently got Mitsubishi to warranty the brembos on a 9? I'm assuming no..

I have 27k miles on my car and 1 of the brembo's clearcoat is really bad while the other 3 have some damage.

I would think they would. We need to find an original owner that has peeling brembos to give it a try. Mine peeled with only 30k miles or so on them but I had them powdercoated so I didn't have to deal with he hassles at the dealership.

I'm the second owner, but the car is unmodified. I was thinking about going in for that cat recall. You think I should try for the brembos?

I would say yes but I don't think your covered under warranty anymore unless I'm missing something?
