don't scrub them at all, just lightly run a damp soapy towel over them.

a few dealerships in socal have been warranteeing them, but mostly likely not any more since Brembo is fighting Mitsubishi on all the claims now.

I actually have not even scrubbed them. I lightly wipe brake dust off of them. Thats pretty much it.
Wow I didn't know that Brembo was doing that...

Just paint them? Why would you buy new calipers because the paint is chipping? It does not alter the functionality of the brakes in any fashion. But ya, if you're still covered under warranty then they should replace them if you're that concerned about the cosmetics. Or you could try tracking the car, heating those calipers make them turn darker, so they might go back to red? lol

Because it should not be happening. Period. Im pretty sure Nissan, Porsche, Ferrari etc. etc. would warranty this on their Brembo-eqipped cars.

I even called them and they personally told me they would.

Mine are just starting to do this. I would love to get them replaced, repowdercoated, whatever but, I doubt Mitsubishi will do anything about it. The next time I see our Brembo rep at work I'm going to jump his as* about it. I'll talk to the guys at my dealership probably tomorrow and see if they have replaced any or will replace mine.

This all is happening do to a lack of bad paint. I have heard that the pain that was used on our calipers is different from those used on the Ferrari's, Porches, etc. What is happening the heat that is being drawn out by the use of the brakes is causing this. Plus that is why we are seeing a lot of the Brembo brake calipers issued now on cars in that bronze/gold color because it is supposedly more heat resistant. But I have told that by a couple of people already.
