Lightbulb Tyre Storage

I got a bargain on a set of Potenza S02 s. However I still have about another 5000 miles left in my tyres so I'd have to keep the new ones for a while till they go in the car. Are there any pre-cautions that you have to take when u store new tyres? 'coz I've heard temperature fluctuations/humidity can cause cracks in certain tyres. Is this true?

If the tires aren't on a wheel yet I don't think there's any problem. Just keep them out of extreme heat. Somehow I don't think extreme cold will be a problem for you....
