Summer wheel/tire suggestion?

Ok, I am on a tight budget, but I'm looking for some summer wheels/tires. 17" OR 18" will do...I dont need the lightest wheel, as these are for summer cruising and car shows And in the winter months Ill throw the stockies with the attached falken all weathers... and what size to shoot for?? They don't have to be the best brand name, just something nice for the summer like I said. Did I mention I'm on a tight budget..lol. I want something in Gunmetal or glossy black, maybe even with a machined lip? Ok, I'm digging too far..hahah any suggestions, or if you have wheels w/ tires for sale lemme know

Thanks!

I was in the same situation as you, and I went with rotas. Their a lil lighter than stock, and the price cant be beat. I got the slipstreams in gloss black w/polished lip for cheap. You can probably find 17"s for around 700$ shipped or maybe cheaper.

Contact gnvmotorsports, thats where I got mine. I reccomend him first, and if things dont work out, go to www.subydude.com, their the biggest retailer in the U.S. supposedly, but I believe gnv will give you the best price.

I was in the same boat as well. I went with Rota Torques and so far they've been great. If you search under my name you will find a few pics I posted.

I highly recommend the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires. They are a nice improvement over the Bridgestone S-03's I had. Great tire in the dry and the wet. Grip is awesome. Wheels are a personal thing. If you like it then get them. Unless you want super light rims the stock ones are great.

You can see the complete list of wheels we have available for your vehicle here Simply enter the specifics on your vehicle’s make, model and year, and my site will display every option we have available that fits your vehicle properly. We have some nicely priced wheels if your on budget.

Good tire performers for lower prices would be Yoko ES100, Kumho MX, Fuzion ZRi etc

I'm looking for a set of knock off's. Like I said, brand does not matter... they are just going to be used 4 months out of the year...something less than 700 bux total for wheels...i know they are out there. I don't see wheel/tire packages out there for the evo neither...

Under $700 for a set up wheels is kind of pushing it

If you want something black with a polished lip look I would go with the 5zigen fno1r-c's in 17x9 +35 and throw on some meaty 255 tires

how is it pushing it.. this wheels perform just as good and as i pointed out before, they are just as strong if not stronger from what i can tell. I practically take the rotas off road and slam into pot holes.. not one dent in them. Spending tons of money on a two sets of wheels is kinda foolish unless you have mad cash lying around.. that money is better invested in something that wont be destroyed in a couple years. special order 17x8.5 slipstreams in black with polished lip.. under 800, then slap some z211 hankooks on there and have fun with the money you saved( spend it on more tires!)
