Broken Kinesis wheel

This wheel was reported to have only been used for four track days. I guess expensive wheels are not always stronger. I always thought they had strong, forged center sections. I'm ordering a set of 17x9.5 Enkei NT03+M's today. Robi reports that they are extremely strong, don't flex and are relatively light. Cheap is good too!

Where did you get that picture from?

I was there that day...

The funny part is that I used to own Kinesis wheels just like those.

You should have seen the wheel well on that GT3.. it was shredded.

I have heard of more Kinesis wheels braking lately... NOT GOOD, specially for something so expensive.

Robi mentioned that someone fitted 275 Kumho's recently. Was this your car? Any rubbing with his rolled fenders? He did my car yesterday here in Seattle.

Yeah, I talked with him yesterday and he said he was up in Seattle.

Not my car..... I know another customer of his runs 18x9.5 with 275's... we'll see about the rubbing issue once I get the Hoosiers mounted and wheels on the car.

nils you fool, don't powdercoat!

Read my posts here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=89751

Oh, and these 18x9.5 NT03's, do they have the same offset that Kozarov's do?

Saw that pic too. Think it was a Viper track day event when/where that happened.

nah,
it was an event put together by lappingdays.com

it was in Pahrump, NV last weekend.

damn car was on the track for a long time cause the owner of the GT3 was 'very' picky about how they put his car up on the long bed trailer....
