pushing back caliper piston
pushing back caliper piston
what do you usually use to push back caliper piston during brake pad install? and for the front where there are 2 pistons on each side, do you need to push them in simultaneously or can you push back one at a time?
thx in advance

thx for the replies. i managed to push them in one at a time with a long screwdriver and rag to cover. needed some pretty good force to push, but it worked.
btw, is it normal to have like a little lip/beveled-edge on that outskirts of the rotor? and are your rotor surfaces pretty smooth or slightly bumpy?

When I was doing my pads tonight I pushed one piston in and the other extended pretty far. Now it won't go back in. I've put some good force on it but its not moving. Has anyone experienced this before?
Edit: Got it, a break and a new angle worked.
