Dual bolt pattern wheels! Your thoughts?

I am looking for everyone's opinions on dual bolt pattern wheels, if you have an opinion of them at all.

The reason I ask is that, personally, I feel they cheapen the look, not to mention the value, of the wheel when they have a dual bolt pattern.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You typically find this on cheaper "no-name", "knock-off", or non-brand-name wheels, hence the feeling of cheapness, and it is done by the manufaturer to offer the same wheel for multiple applications. Usually, single bolt pattern wheels are designed to be model-specific with specific offsets, backspacing, and spoke features as well, but here is my dilemma:

I have an opportunity to acquire and super rare set of JDM wheels. THE ONLY set of their kind in the US right now.

Without giving too many details away, they are a one piece fully forged aluminum wheel weighing in at 19 lbs. They are 18x8.5 with a 35mm offset and have a couple other unique features. They are also advertised as being "Evo-specific".

Pics added below!

The only problem for me is that they are dual bolt pattern.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do I bite the bullet and buy them given their rarity and uniqueness, or search for something suiting my tastes a little better?

Give me your thoughts!

Get the dual bolt wheels - who the hell spends that much time looking at their lug nuts, and you might be able to take them to your next car.

My Volks had a dual bolt pattern. One of my friends said something about the bolt pattern looking cheap and he thought it would make the wheel weaker.

I don't care about the bolt pattern at all. I however would not buy the wheels you have above because of the looks and the weight is nothing special.

I know the design is nothing super special looking, and the weight is nothing to marvel at, but the fact of the matter is, they do have some nice features, they are the only set in the US, and I can get them for a steal.

Note they have dual valve stems. Used in Japanese racing circuits, one for air, the other for nitrogen.

I'm just not sure about sacrificing the looks of the dual bolt pattern that bothers me for having this exclusive set of wheels.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the wheels themselves?

I like the style, and would love them in dark bronze.

I have to admit that I would prefer a single bolt pattern on these... but I do like them. Matter of fact, a dark bronze set sound real nice. What color car you putting them on?

My car is Silver.

I thought about buying them and then having them custom coated into a Gunmetal color or something darker then what they currently are.

I'm not so sure I'm going to get them now, though.

NT03+M (Enkei) has the dual valvestem thing as well - dont know anyone actually making use of them but looks funky

Southwern Ways makes nice wheels for sure, and relatively light given their low cost, but a replacement wheel should the need arise might be a royal PIA
