EVO lateral balance question

Forgive if this is a stupid question, but is the lateral, or side to side balance of the EVO improved with left hand drive cars? I notice that the engine is located on the right side of the car, which is the same side as the driver in a Japanese car. With US and Euro versions, the driver is on the other side from the block.
Does this make any difference in lateral balance?

Thanks Claudius,
I always thought LHD was because on most racetracks the wall is on the right. Kind of a wall=bad thing.
