Hotchkis Front Spring Question

When looking at the Hotchkis front springs there is very little progression in the spring. To the point that I can't tell which end of the spring is the bottom. Has anyone who has installed these figured it out. I know they are stamped with the Hotchkis name and lot #, but I am not sure if I can use that as an install guide. FOr example, install with Hotchkis right side up or upside down.

Any help is appreciated.

I mad sure the strut was aligned, but It was rather difficult to determine what end of the spring was progressive. The progression is very small on the fronts. My label is facing upside down on both fronts.

Here is the answer to my question from Hotchkis :

The tighter coils should be toward the top. Usually you should be able
to read the part # right side up.

Looks like I need to reverse my fronts!! Grrrrr.....

i had the same problem with my tanabe gf210 I was confused by the instruction, do not go with the label cause it could be upside down when u place
the spring. Make sure u place the spring where the top is more narrow and it gets wider on the bottom.

The Hotchkis front springs are progressive, but barely. It is very tough to tell which end is the progressive end.
