Clunking noises after Tein S-tech Spring Install??
Ok so i just installed my tein s-techs over the weekend. install went pretty smooth. i've installed suspension on hondas for 4+ years now so it wasn't too different. After the install took it on the a test drive a noticed some clunking when turning slowly and also when just turning the steering wheel when sitting still, i figured the springs had to just settle on the shocks. also the was primarily just coming from the front, no noise from the rear. so next morning(yesterday) it was still making the clunking noise so today i decided to take it to my buddies shop to check it out to see if the springs were installed incorrectly and to get it aligned. but he told me after taking them out and looking at them that they were in there right and isn't sure why it's making the clunking noise. now i have searched and seen some people have the same problem but no one has really had a cure to the problem. wanted to find out if anyone that had this same problem had a solution to it or if mabye the springs still needed to settle on the shocks?
sorry cant help man i did mine and had no problems, dont think its related but u did cut the bumpstops correctly also correct, and also u did leave the rubber pieces that come on the spring on correct, and im assuming u lined themup in the spring perch on the strut right???

looks-wise, theyre the best set of springs you can get! they give the car a sweet drop with nearly uniform wheel gap front and rear. as i say, they do drop the car more in the front, giving it a slight rake, which is nice and agressive looking (albeit not helping the weight bias).
suspension performance may be sacrificed slightly with these springs, but if you dont track your car, then you wont really notice. if anything, on the street, you will see slightly better turn-in and steering response. and, of course, they are "bumpier" - smoothness is compromised (especially for rear-seat passengers). however, if you have ever driven/riden in a "slammed" civic or integra; the evo with s-techs feels like a cadi in comparison!
