18x9.5 which offset...

...will work best (if at all)

+20mm or +40mm??

If neither of these will work, i can just go with a 18x8.5 with a +30mm offset

Sh*tty part about it is i have been trying to get 18X9 on my car but everyone keeps tlling me i will have problems with rubbing either on my wheel well or on my strut. But with a 35mm offset with 18X9 i have been told to avoid the wheels from sticking out of your wheel well like a 1980s gangbanger you'll have to roll the lip on the wheel well. One guy even has 285 30 18X10's on his car , never the less to say, yes he had to roll his fender for that.

35's would be good, Ive seen the most extreme mounted at 28 or 29 mm. I have also seen Enkei NT03+ with 40mm offset and a huge lip go with 17mm spacers, but fender rolling is necessary. Good luck, post pics!

well heres the problem...the wheels i want, i can only get the 18x8.5 in gunmetal...and honestly, i wanted silver...well the silver's i can only get in 18x9.5...but the offsets they come in are only 40 and 20...

the wheels i want are Rays G-Games wheels...i may have to go with a gunmetal wheel and have the faces painted gloss black (its a 2-piece wheel)

can anyone else confirm that those offsets on the 9.5" wheel will NOT fit w/o rolling the fenders?

There's nothing wrong with rolling the fender. When done right it looks very good, just make sure the person rolling your fender knows what they are doing. If you like the big wheel look, then that's the way to go. If you want your wheels to be "normal" then stick with the "safe" 18x8 and 18x8.5 wheels.

You want big wheels, you have to pay the price to have the look.

Wouldn't that make it a 12?

Yes, that would make it a +12 offset.

You would need to remove 8mm from the wheel hub to get up to +28!

Yeah, it should work with the spacers. Just remember to get extended studs too so you have enough stud engagement. Also remember, you have to clear the brakes - that is mostly dependant on the spoke design on the wheel. It's nothing spacers can't solve though.
