farmers handmade trunk bars..

After making some other parts for the evo, i decided to make these first.. i will have 2 for sale by this weekend.. just waiting for a couple more heim joints.. all the parts are hand made, well i didnt make the metal but i cut, welded, assembled, and painted everything myself.... i may have gone over board with my thickness of matieral, but i like overkill, and all i can say is there was a big diff, in handling when i got the first one done... i dont like using aluminum, it bends, my stuff doesnt.. anyways i will have the 2 others done and painted shortly, i will sell them for 275 plus shipping.... this isnt cheap thin metal, its all 3/16.. i was gonna go 1/4 inch but that would have wieghed to much.. so 3/16 was much better weight wise.. but nontheless these dont flex...

All the tools you would need are 2, 3/4 inch wrenchs,3/4 socket, big ratchet, 14 mm wrench, razor blade, and a drill with a 1/2 inch bit.. install is very easy..

I didnt copy this idea from someone, im just making a couple parts here and there to pay for my damn addiction known as the evo.. i want a 35r on this car..

thanks for looking all..

The only thing is that you are using Moving parts too tie Points together . Heim joints offer a lot of movemenet for some stuff like Outer tie rods where they are tighter than OE tie rods , But for cage and stiffing purpose , I wouldn't use heim joints .

I like it, it helps handling and it will keep everything from rolling around in the trunk!

NO! This is the proper application for the heim joints. I've built countless many strut bars exactly the same way.

Farmer, good stuff
