18x9 +34 offset: widest tire size?

18x9 +34 offset: I need the widest tire I can fit that wont require rolling the rear fenders. Thanks!

I just ordred these stlyle of wheels for my Graphite Gray and before they arrive I need to have the tires waiting for them.

Sorry, I cant find pics on an Evo but thats how it looks on a Z.

I have 255's but some people say you can go up to 265. I believe it depends on the specific tire spec though.

you should run 255, that its the optimum sized tire for that rim and it shouldnt require fender rolling. you might also want to change the front offset to around +28 or +29, you might have some more suspension clearence if the car is lowered.

The rears should be fine at +34 with a 255/35 tire, if you get a 255/40 it might rub, or if you get a 265/35 it might rub. depends on how low the car is. I'd get the 255/35 to be safe.

Thank you kind sir. The offset was +33 for the front and +34 for the back. Since its a 3 piece wheel the face shape on the back wheel different to give an illusion of a bigger lip even though its all 18x9. Well thats what Work Wheels recommended anyways.

If you run different off-sets, then I suppose you wont be rotating front to rear anymore. I would think it would be more costly to do it that way in the long run.

255... 265 35 will rub in the rear as it already rubs wtih my 18x8.5 +33 all around. my opinion... get the fenders shaved.

A friend of mine has 255 on his18x9.5 and that's getting borderline but not rubbing (evo 8). He's on stock suspension however.

Trinydex, what tyres are you running? My experience seems to suggest that yoko's are a little smaller than other tyres around the shoulders and so on. Bridgestones tend to be beefier. Maybe I'm imagining things...

i'm running dunlops which also run skinnier however i don't tend to find these specific tires to be much skinnier than other 255s. odd.

So if you roll the fenders, the 255/35/18's cant rub? My car is going to be pretty low. Ide say a little lower than the Tein S-Tech drop. Will I be ok with rolled fenders?

255 35 18 should not rub even without rolling fenders, you add the fact that you're lowered so in that case it would depend on what kinda camber you're running. but 255 35 is actually the perfect size. just like how 255 40 is for 17

Much thanks for the help guys. Im an Evo newbie as I just got my IX MR 3 weeks ago. I just want to make sure everything turns out right the 1st time.

so I think 255 35 18 will be the tire choice for my wheels. I'll post pics as soon as the wheels come in which is around 2-3 more weeks.
