I wanted to lower my car, but I am seriously rethinking it. If I were to lower my evo, then a ton of my warranty will be voided, if not all. I heard even HB Mitsubishi isn't cool with some mods such as lowering, and they are probably the most liberal dealer in all of California.

I like the look of the lowered car with the splitter..but here in Austin there seems to be a place to bottom out from being too steep everywhere you look. What's the least amount of height decrease can you get?

Holy cow - I just now finished putting springs on my car. I'm beat. I went with the Hotchkis springs, but I seriously considered the Tanabes. Both are about the same drop. You still running the stock wheel? If so, than all three of your choices will work.

The Elispers were too expensive. The S-techs were too low, especially in the front. I did consider the H-techs though because the drop isn't as aggressive. I have 18" rims and those S-techs would rub.

I've read a lot of good things about the Tanabes and their price is very reasonable. That would be my suggestion.

Do you have any pictures of your 18's with the springs?

I have a set of Tein S-tech for sale. Loved the look and the ride quality, but I kept scraping the ramp to the parking deck at work. I had it on for a week. $90 shipped.

RSR Ti2000 springs if you want a stiff spring rate that works.

Here's a couple shots I took this morning. Had a little trouble resizing them. Sorry for the size. 18" with Hotchkis.
