255/40/17....

looking to get Pirelli p-zero/nero m+s, or continental contisport extremes for my EVO (winter is upon us), still on the stock advans...

question is will 255/40/17 fit the stock wheels? does it look ok? tia.

Need at least an 8.5" wide wheel for that to work and the EVO wheel is only 8.0". Many have had luck with the 245/40-17's. But wider isn't best for winter. The stock 235's would best for winter traction.

well its not just for winter, its going to be for all seasons... so im moving to an all season tire but just wondering if i could go a bit wider...

245/40/17 works and looks ok?

oh ok. yeah, the 245's will be just fine. never had an EVO owner complain on the fitment or looks.

do you guys have any specials on the pzero/nero or contiextremes?
or any other tires you may suggest? (all season, live in midwest, mainly cold winter with some snow)

nothing special going on right now. two avenues you can go: The Pirelli works well in moderate to light snow areas and will handle better in the summer. The Conti is a better snow tire that will handle harsher snow and ice conditions, but not quite the level of summer performance. Remember your a step ahead of the game with AWD also.
